An extremely well-illustrated and written drama that deals with life, death, love, suicide, faith...
Definately worth a read, but definately not for kids.

Holy Guacomole, Batman! ColossalCon is THIS weekend, not NEXT weekend?! Oooooh, boy. My running total for "Things that need doing" reads: Ashcans designed - 0, Business Cards looked into - 0, T-shirt producers considered (since we couldn't get in touch with Sarah) - 0, Other Groovy Ideas for ColossalCon explored - Not Many. I'm currently 0 for Many, but moving Fast! Tonight's shaping up to be an Allnight Adobe session (as oppossed to my more nominal AllNight Coding Sessions), and I will ATLEAST have Ashcans layed out and my resume re-vamped (more on that later), before I sleep. Frost comes to mind, since I have "miles to go," yet.

Tonight was alot of fun, though. True to form for Tuesdays, Crash and I hit the Phoenix Cafe for their open-mic night, only this time we were met there by Dmitri and Melissa of Edge of the World and Jeff of As Cybertron Turns (whose archives I *WILL* get around to finishing as soon as I can afford the time) as well as Jeff's Significant (or maybe not Significant... I don't know... I didn't ask) Other... uhm... Kira? Sorry, lass, I'm horrible with names. Anyway, we sat and talked about writing and drawing and webcomics and life and gaming and stuff for several hours. Much fun. Of course, Crash sat there most of the time drawing (as Crashes are wont to do), but he wound up getting three panels done in 2 1/2 hours, so Mishas are not wont to complain about it. Besides, *I'M* the writer, dammitall, words are MY arena. And don't you forget it. Anyway, yeah, all of them are planning on hitting ColossalCon as well, and I think Dmitri has talked to the staff about the possibility of a Webcomics Panel. THAT would be UBER-Groovy. I am also FOREVER grateful for this fact, because it means I don't have to be creative and try to think of cool programming or stuff for us to do while there. S'pocebo, moi droog, from the bottom of my heart.

Anyway, in OTHER other news, I may not wind up lifeguarding this summer after all. I had a job interview this morning with a pretty high-brow tech outsourcing company and the recruiter there seems REALLY gung-ho about getting me on-board a project they have launching in a few weeks. Remember that note about my resume a few paragraphs up? Ahhh! I told you I'd get back to it, didn't I? Anyway, she's currently running the background check for a Desktop Support position - it will be clean... I'm pretty boring like that - to fill in the gaps since the MAIN project she wants me for doesn't launch for a few weeks yet. I'm going to try to pimp Renthor for this project as well, as it seems VERY similar to the one we just finished. Plus, there's another computer build project on the horizon through the same company that looks like it would be right up Mike's alley. All in all, things are looking PRETTY darned groovy for this summer (read as: I won't be constantly stressing about how to pay the bills). The only DOWNSIDE being that this project promises to have even more travel than the LAST one did, so it might interrupt our perspective Con schedule, and I'll have to spend some time getting ahead on storyboards before I leave. Still I needed to do that ANYWAY.

So, all goes well at Casa de Geek! Wish us well, and hopefully I'll see some of you folks at ColossalCon this weekend!

Namaste,
Misha
