0014 03-17-2005 Okay, I haven't updated this in a ridiculously long time, so I guess I should do so now. Nothing really rant-worthy has crossed the radar recently... or, more likely, PLENTY of rant-worthy stuff HAS crossed my radar and I've just been to lazy to track it all down and make something of it. So, I shall not rant, merely catch up. The donation drive went fairly well. Thanks to all who donated, and to any of you who didn't SHAME ON YOU! There, that's out of my system. I've gotten all the T-shirts in the mail except two. One should be going out tomorrow (much as it SHOULD have gone out yesterday) and the other is waiting to be hand delivered. To my very own personal RatCatcher. In St. Thomas. Yeah. Sure. Twist my arm. Shipping will be a little expensive on that one, though, so I'm saving up. Oh, and as a note to any of our readers living in lush, tropical, or just plain WARM climates: If you want your shirt hand-delivered, I'm MORE than willing to comply. Just pitch in for the shipping when you donate and we'll work something out. And how can I make such promises about giving my time away, hand delivering shirts to pleasanter climes? Don't I, for instance, have a day job?! Actually, at the moment, no. YET another contract fell through. If you haven't already caught the details of it either from me or in my LJ, I'm not going to recite them again here, but suffice to say it was utter and complete crap. Still, life goes on, and I've determined that I can slide by on unemployment for a couple of months and, therefore, WILL. I've earned this break, darnit, and I'm bloody well taking it. I think I'm going to spend the interim trying to brush up my skill set and maybe get a few more certifications and we'll see where it all goes from there. And that's about it.
